Ag students traveled to Husker Harvest Days in Wood River, NE today. While there they got to meet with industry members, see the newest technology in agriculture, and watch a variety of demonstrations in different areas of ag.

The 5th and 6th grade science students are viewing cheek cells, onion cells, pond water, and salt under the microscopes. They have been learning about cell types, structure, and function.

Good luck to our HS Volleyball team as they travel to Clifton Clyde for the TVL/NPL tournament on September 9th. We will play at 9:00, 11:00 and 2:00 at Clifton. After the conclusion of pool play, bracket play will begin at both Clifton and Clyde. Good luck, Go Cats!

Due to circumstances out of our control, the JH Football game on October 19th against Axtell has been cancelled. To make up for the lost game, we have scheduled a game against Thayer Central (Hebron, NE) for September 11th at Hebron starting at 5:30. Sorry for any inconvenience. Streaming information will be available later in the week.

HHS Yearbook Ad Sales Day 2. Group 2.

Kindergarten learned about how bubbles are made. Then they practiced making them.

HHS Yearbook Staff is out today selling yearbook ads to businesses in Washington, KS. Students are learning and practicing lots of sales and soft skills in the process.

NFHS will be broadcasting our Volleyball games, but our football field camera needs replaced and NFHS will hopefully have it operational as soon as possible. Good luck!

Useful skills being learned this week in music! We started our own club! The STC,(Shoe Tie club). The kids are loving it and even my 7-12th grade kids got in on the fun! Ask your child about their Certificate!! Our poem and will be song goes like this: Build a Teepee Go inside Close it right so we can hide It's over the mountain And around we go Here's my arrow And here's my Bow! Next week I will update our "Wall of Fame".

ACT Prep class played "Guess My Job" today. Students had occupations taped to their back and had to ask their classmates questions about what the job might be.

Great job by our HS volleyball team last night coming away with two wins! Keep it up. We will be hosting JH Volleyball tomorrow night starting at 5:00 (A team followed by B team). If anyone is interested in working score/clock please let us know. If you work 3 events you will receive a BVL pass to all league games for the year (home and away-all sports).
