Our senior class had the great opportunity to visit the Auschwitz Exhibition in Kansas City. This was a great experience for all. This exhibit has been in New York and Kansas City. After March 20th this exhibit will head back to Europe.

Tomorrow’s Junior High track practice will be over by 5:00 p.m.
“The Cat in the Hat” won the first round in Seuss Madness. Today students wore their favorite color. Tomorrow’s theme is dress up for your career as we celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday.



7th-grade science students are studying types of energy, energy transfers, and energy transformations. In order for the students to gain a better understanding of these concepts, they designed, built, and presented their Newton Cradles to the class.




Elementary students wore crazy socks and a hat in celebration of Read Across America week. Tomorrow is wear your favorite color.



English 8 students worked on a prediction passage activity for the next text “from Lincoln: A Photobiography”.

Competitors in five events advanced to finals at the Valley Heights forensics meet Saturday, with Michelle Zarybnicky and Elaina White earning top honors and a State Champs berth in improvised duet acting. Other medalists were Lyndee Padgett, third, Cora Coufal, fourth, and Michelle, fifth, all in oration; Levi Griffith, fourth in informative speaking; and Ava Sedlacek and Hannah Zarybnicky, fifth in IDA. Next up is Washington County’s meet on March 24.

Read Across America begins on Monday. Elementary students will participate in activities each day. In addition, students will vote for the best Dr. Seuss book until we have a champion.

Spring school pictures have been rescheduled. The new date will be April 4th.
There will be a girl's Junior High Track meeting on Monday, February 28th, at 3:45 p.m. in St. John's gym. The boy's Junior High Track meeting will be on Tuesday, March 1st, at 3:45 p.m. in St. John's gym.
The first day of track practice is on Wednesday, March 2nd.
Students must have a physical on file before the first day of practice. Also, the concussion video will be watched on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. in Mrs. Schotte's classroom for those individuals who have not watched it yet.
Our elementary students have been reading for gold. Congratulations to Brance for being the first gold medalist!

The girls are looking to close out their regular season and go into sub state as the number one seed. With a win our girls will be 16-4 and will play next on March 4th.
Our boys are looking to close out their regular season and go into sub state as the number one seed as well. With a win tonight, the boys would win the TVL regular season title. The boys will play again on March 3rd.
