Medical Explorer Post Information -
Students on Monday Dec. 16 will experience “the day in the life of an inpatient”. From admission to discharge, students will witness the care and services available to inpatients at CCMC. Hands-on experience includes the patient admission, nurse charting, physician orders, and discharge planning.
Students from any area high school are welcome to join our program, which will meet the second Monday at 6:30pm during the school year. We have made the decision to manage the program in house at CCMC so this program will now be called Future Medical Professionals. It will continue to focus on exposing students to different medical departments within the hospital and includes hands-on activities led by department managers. There is no fee to attend. Students under 18 years old will need a parent’s signature before their first meeting.
Please let me know if you have any questions!

Due to construction of the street in front of the school, Linn Schools will not have school for students on Thursday, December 5th. We are sending home a letter with students this afternoon to explain all the details. There will be no parking in front of the football field or school for anyone on Wednesday after 10 am or Thursday. We apologize for the inconvenience but these are the times the asphalt company can come and fix the street and we have to take advantage of this opportunity before winter set in for good.
