KSHSAA Board of Directors recently voted to allow more fans into basketball games STARTING JANUARY 29. This will be the TVL attendance policy beginning January 29, 2021. 1. Away teams---will be allowed to bring parents/guardians/step parents only and are on the parent/guardian list and will check in at the gate. Individual schools may use the option to limit further if needed. 2. No cheerleaders at away games 3. Home teams----can use what their gym allows as well as county health and school board guidelines. Up to 4 spectators per family, with the gym staying at 50% capacity. Individual schools may use the option to limit further if needed. In short, away games there is no change except, step parents/guardians will now be allowed to attend as well. For home games, each participant (players, cheerleaders, managers, coaches) will be given 4 tickets per family to use at their discretion. We must keep our gym capacity at 50% or below. Anyone, regardless of age, must have a ticket to gain entrance. Masks and social distancing will still be required.

We have added a HS BB game to the schedule. On February 4th, we will be going to Hanover. Please watch for updates on times.

Due to a close contact exposure during the TVL Tournament, the Linn Boys Basketball team will not play tonight's game vs. Valley Heights. We will update you with current information as it comes available.

Update on TVL games. The girls will play Axtell in Frankfort, Tuesday at 6:00 pm, and the boys play Washington Co. on Tuesday evening at 7:30pm in Onaga.

JH Basketball games for tonight at Luckey have been cancelled. Boys will practice regular times, girls practice will end at 3:30 today so they can ride the bus as needed.

From KSHSAA: Subject: Special Board of Directors Meeting - Jan. 20 During a regular scheduled KSHSAA Executive Board meeting January 13 and 14, the Executive Board called for a special meeting of the KSHSAA Board of Directors, January 20 at 2:00 p.m. The agenda item to be discussed by the BOD: Beginning January 29 until the end of winter activities regular season a maximum of four spectators per participant will be permitted with appropriate social distancing required. Local school districts may choose to have stricter limitations based on seating and local health department guidelines. Game information for JH BB at Luckey on Friday, January 15. Due to our small gym size we are going to have to divide the night into two sessions, a boys and a girls session. Below is what the schedule would look like. 4:00 PM B boys (4 min quarters) 4:45 A boys (6 min quarters) 6:00 PM GYM CLEAR/SANITIZING 6:15 PM B girls (4 min quarters) 7:00 PM A girls (6 min quarters) Please arrive as close to your participant’s game time as possible and please try to watch just your participant’s game. For example, if your child is playing in the B boys game only, we would ask you to watch that game and exit the gym after that game ends. We are trying to keep numbers as low as possible in the gym while allowing everyone to watch their participant safely. Parents arriving for the girl’s games early will be ask to wait in the elementary cafeteria where the game will be streamed. Concessions if available will be very limited.
