HS STEAM has been examining Newton's Laws in regards to rocketry and launched the first of their constructed rockets, water bottle rockets, today. Water bottle rockets utilize pressurized water as their propellent, and can launch as high as 400 feet. Students used a homemade altimeter to track their rockets, using the tangent of the angle on the altimeter to calculate how high their rocket launched. Our one liter rockets were able to fly around 250 feet high.
