JR High STEAM completed and tested their passive solar houses this week. The challenge was to use their knowledge of thermal energy, insulators, and conductors to build a 2 door, 4 windowed house out of recycled materials that would remain warm despite cold conditions. Students were able to achieve a 20 degree difference between their house temperatures and outside air temperatures.

What a successful day for our Forensics team! Unfortunately, we didn’t have any State qualifiers, but Camryn took home 6th place in Informative Speaking and Carissa received 4th in Prose! Our team also brought home the 3rd place Sweepstakes plaque!

Advanced Biology wants to thank Cloud County Community College for a one of a kind experience. Students were able to attend the cadaver lab tour which features a hands on opportunity for students to see and touch organs, nerves, muscles, tendons and bones to gain a greater understanding of how they all work together to make the human body function.
