The first graders have enjoyed watching the chick hatching process! It has been a long 21 days anxiously awaiting the chicks’ arrival but today has finally come. We are up to 7 chicks so far!

Due to other activities in the gym and not favorable weather conditions, Todays JH Track Practice has been cancelled.
JH Track will be inside today and we will be done by 4:30pm.

Information on 8th grade promotion

Teacher appreciation week is May 1 through May 7
Teachers, coaches, support staff and school personnel are after immediate family, typically the most important and influential people in our children’s lives!
Teachers provide academic instruction and ensure that learning is taking place each day but they do so much more... Teachers instill and reinforce the values that parents initiate at home. Teachers provide discipline and structure in order for young people to learn and thrive. Teachers provide social and emotional support and education so our young people can learn how to manage, cope and survive in this ever-changing world. They teach our young work ethic, drive, determination and the value of doing their best. Each day teachers demonstrate to our children caring, respect, understanding, patience, equity and love.
Teaching is probably one of the oldest and most noble professions dating back prior to 561 BC and Confucius. Ever since that time the need for teachers has been growing and is currently at an all time high.
Teaching is a time-consuming and extremely challenging profession that we often take for granted. This week is a chance for us to remind our teachers, coaches, support staff how much we appreciate their hard work, thoughtfulness, patience, love and care they put into teaching our children each day!
Thank you teachers!

After rainfall, Washington Co feels it is best for facilities to not have meet today. They will be hosting league and Regionals coming up. We will not have today's meet, and it will not be made up.
In order to try and battle some of tomorrow's weather, we will be moving the JH Track meet up to a 10 am start time for field events with the 3200 starting at 11:00, and all other running events kicking off at 12:15.
Attention Senior Guardians! You're invited to Senior Breakfast on May 13th at 8am in the HS Library. Join us in celebrating our seniors!

First sewing project for 7th grade FACS class.

Here is the Summer schedule and teams for weights this summer. Boys will lift four days of the week, and girls will lift 3 days with modified day each week. I apologize if I left anyone off the teams. If I did, let me know and I will get them added.
