The first ever Hanover Senior Signing Day event was held today! Seniors had the opportunity to share their post-secondary plans with the K-11 students. They also shared a favorite high school memory. All 16 have chosen to continue their education. They will be going into the fields of agriculture, dairy science, diesel tech, music, physical therapy, pre-dental, nutritional science, business, mortuary science, electrical engineering, forensic science, accounting, and architectural planning/design. Good luck to each one of them as they continue their education! *more photos in the comments

Ag Day was a success! We had every grade from Pre-K to 12th out to learn about the agriculture industry. In total we had 4 bottle goat kids, 1 bottle lamb, a dairy cow and calf, a horse, a mini potbelly pig, 2 beef bottle calves, one mini highland bull, 6 chicks, a rabbit, two puppies, a tractor, and four crop samples. We want to extend a huge thank you to Four Streams Dairy, Angie Steinfort, and Bruna Implement for donating their time and animals/ equipment to make our day a success, as well as all of our FFA members for coordinating with their families to make sure we had animals at each station.

Started in 2021, the Kansas FAFSA Challenge is a statewide FAFSA completion competition among Kansas high schools. Schools will be grouped by size and recognized in two different categories: Highest Completion Rate and Schools with at least 70% FAFSA Completion rate. We are currently ranked second among other 1A schools! Seniors and senior parents please check that you've completed the FASFA. Our community should be incredibly proud today of the performance that the 7-12 band put together in Beloit. During the trip down we had a student become ill but she was able to hang in and make it through the performance. During the warmup slot (20 minutes) we had a trumpet valve break, we were able to procure one from another student from ThunderRidge, with just enough time to go on stage. The kids received 2's (this is an Excellent rating) from all 3 judges and loads of compliments from other directors, spectators, and other students. Band truly is one activity that takes a family. Be sure to mark your calendar for May 2. Our spring concert is going to be amazing!!
