Senior Parents, we have sent a letter home with your senior regarding baby ads for the yearbook. The cost for a baby ad is $25. Please submit both your senior's baby picture and your message by January 23rd to Mrs. Jueneman. Pictures may be print or digital. Jennifer Schroeder, Cloud County Community College librarian, was in Hanover Tuesday to discuss resources available from the CCCC library system to aid students in research projects. Seniors in English IV and Comp. II were introduced to a selection of 80 databases, film archives, and the intricacies of advanced search techniques.


Due to illness, Axtell JV girls can only play 1/2 a game. This will start at 4:45 in the HS, the JV boys will start immediately after this game, roughly 5:30 start time in St. John's.

Susan "Sue" K. Hagedorn, 69, of Hanover, KS, passed away January 7, 2023 at Bryan West in Lincoln, NE. Sue began her career with USD 223 as a substitute teacher in 1984. She then worked full time as a Teacher’s Aide from 1985 to 1987 and continued to substitute until 1993 when she became certified as a teacher. Sue taught one year as a “Home School” teacher and then co-taught 5/6th grade for a year before becoming the Chapter 1 teacher for the 1994-95 school year. This was a position Sue held for 18 years until 2011-2012 school year when she took the position as school counselor. She remained school counselor for 12 years. During her 37 years at Hanover School Sue had many other duties and responsibilities including: class sponsor, pep and cheer coach, assistant volleyball coach, summer school for 23 years, after school programs, leadership team committee, National Honor Society chairperson, curriculum duties, scorebook official and instructional coach. Sue was a lifelong learner and had a number of different degrees. Over the years, faculty and staff within the district have developed close relationships with Sue.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 13, at the Immanuel Lutheran (Hermansberg) Church, north-east of Bremen.
USD 223 schools will not be in session on January 13th so students, faculty and staff may attend Sue's funeral.

Dear School Families,
Our hearts are heavy as we share with you that Mrs. Sue Hagedorn, our beloved counselor, passed on Saturday, January 7th. Please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers as they work through this very difficult time.
We will have counseling and support available for students and staff who may need some time to process. As we receive additional information or updates, we will keep you informed.

Come out tonight for high school basketball vs Frankfort. JV girls will start at 4:45 in the high school. At 6:00, JV boys will play in St. John's while our varsity girls play in the high school. At 7:30 the varsity boys will tip off in the high school.
There will be a potato bar served in the cafeteria!

Good luck to our HS basketball teams as their seasons resume January 3rd at Linn. The night will start with 1/2 game of JV girls at 5:00 in the new gym. At 6:00, JV boys will play in the old gym, while varsity girls will play in the new gym. Varsity boys will follow varsity girls. Good luck!

Games tonight will start at 4:00 (edited from earlier) with JV girls followed by JV boys. Girls varsity will start at 6:00, followed by varsity boys.
Games will be streamed on NFHS, and KUTT and KNDY radio will both cover the game.
