There will be a Junior High Track Meeting for 7th and 8th grade boys and girls on February 27th. (There will be no track for 6th graders.). The first day of Track practice is February 28th.

Good luck to our HS basketball teams as they head north to play Thayer Central (Hebron, NE). This will be the first meeting between the two teams. Here is the order of play: Game Time (Thayer Central vs. Hanover) – ALL Games will be held in the NEW High School Gym 4:30 pm - JV Girls (2 quarters – 6 minutes ONLY) followed by JV Boys (4 quarters)-JV Boys will warm up in our Elementary Gym 6:15 pm Varsity Girls (following JV Boys), finishing up with Varsity Boys beginning around 7:45 pm. Swayer Rippe and Kamryn O’Dell represented Hanover at the Washington Co. Spelling Bee. Kamryn is the 2nd place winner. Congratulations to all participants.

The kindergarten showed off their 100 day hats today.

5th and 6th tested their bridges! Each bridge held around 70 pounds with none of them breaking!! Pretty impressive!

Congratulations to both our JH basketball teams. The boys finished as BVL champions and were undefeated. The girls finished runner up, with two losses on the season. Great job players and coaches!

Congratulations to the 1-2A State Honor Band roster musicians. Ayden Olguin - Percussion Ava Sedlacek - French Horn Adria Heuer - French Horn These students will travel to Wichita to work with perform for all of the Kansas Music Educators February 23-25!

In English, 7th graders have been reading about the space shuttle Challenger tragedy. As part of exploring key ideas and text features, they participated in a Socratic Seminar activity. The class did a great job with their communication skills as they critical discussed the topic!

Congratulations to the Winterball Candidates for 2023 King and Queen of Courts. Royalty will be crowned Friday January 27, during halftime of the Boys Varsity game. Dance will be February 4th with pictures at 8pm. Patrick Cook, Dean Luppen, Brigham Bruna, Hayden Behrends. Katelyn Klipp, Tessa Lohse, Jamie Bruna, and Kinsley Jueneman.
