Tuesday: HS BB vs Clifton Clyde - starting at 4:00 with JV girls.
Thursday: HS BB vs Axtell - starting at 4:00 with JV girls
Spelling Bee: Oral Spelldown at St. John's for grades 6-8 qualifiers
Friday: HS BB @ Doniphan West - starting at 4:00 with JV girls
Saturday: Forensics at Rock Creek

Champs Qualifiers! Elaina White and Michelle Zarybnicky were silver medalists in IDA Saturday at Nemaha Central High School, Seneca, qualifying them for State Champs. Elaina also placed fourth in informative speaking, Michelle, fourth in oration, both earning additional medals, while Hope White placed eighth in poetry and Ceegan Atkins, ninth in prose.


Great job to our JH basketball players and coaches. Two great seasons. Our girls finished runner up in the BVL tournament with a record of 13-3. Our boys won the BVL championship and finished with a record of 15-0!

The American History class presented their research on the history of discrimination and the triumphs that they were able to accomplish despite adversity.

Tonight our HS basketball teams will play Valley Heights starting at 4:00 with JV girls, followed by JV boys. Our varsity girls will start at 6:00, followed by varsity boys.

Mrs. Jueneman's 7th & 8th Grade Business Class is working on a small business venture for this Valentine's Day. They are making and selling cookie grams as well as soda grams to be delivered to students and staff in both schools. Any profits from this business venture will be donated to the American Heart Association as February is National Heart Month. These items may also be picked up at the school if you want one for someone outside of the school.



Scholars Bowl will begin regional competition on Thursday. Here are pictures from our league tournament. We may not have won, but we did beat the undefeated Frankfort Team to end our crazy day. Wish these guys luck!!!

Lyndee Padgett earned a gold medal in oration Saturday at the Sabetha forensics meet, qualifying for a State Champs berth, and Cora Coufal placed fourth in the same event. Cora (serious solo) as well as the IDA duo of Levi Griffith and Ayden Olguin finished just out of the medal round. Next up: Nemaha Central on Saturday.


English 8 collaborated as they prepared for writing a literary response on Roberto Clemente’s legacy.
