Our FCCLA Officers attended the district conference this past week to learn leadership 101.
Ms Paula Wilton, their director, was chosen as the new district assistant advisor.
Lyndsay Mueller, our school chapter president, was chosen as district D secretary for FCCLA.
Congrats!!!

Weight Room Next
Our new superintendent, Mr. Lee Schmidt, operations director, Mr. Tim Meuller, new LINN Principal, Mrs. Locke, Athletic Director, Trevor Kuhlman, and Weiche Contractors met to discuss the next project. As soon as the new gym is complete the goal is to begin the weight room.
Gym Updates
Wooden floor was laid this week. Concessions has lots of cabinets, two windows and space! The foyer is getting sprinkler system and duct work completed AC is on and working!

Kindergarten Summer Safari was an enjoyable event this past week. These students got a sneak Peek into Kinder Land!
Big thank you to the kids who were able to go out and help at Ohlde Seed. Kids did a great job helping out and capped off another successful summer!
Reminder those going to help at Ohlde Seed bring jeans, old shoes/boots, and water to work after weights.
HS/JH football equipment checkout will take place on Wednesday, August 11 at 6:00 in the gym.
There will be copies available at Enrollment on Wednesday & Thursday of the Athletic Handbook, Physical Forms (in English & Spanish) and the JH Participation sheet that all must be completed by all HS Athletes, JH Students. These are all due no later than 8/16 in office.

Ohlde Seed is needing help cleaning up a Milo plot on Friday. We will hold all weights sessions together from 6:30-7:30 then go out and help them. Anyone who can help is welcome to attend, and you will receive two bonus days towards your attendance for helping.

Parents/Athletes/Fans: Here is the link for the 2021 Bulldog Football apparel store. I would recommend players looking into investing in the Guardian Caps. This reduces impact by 33% and can be worn in every practice. The store closes on August 6th, so make sure you get your orders in! Also their are separate orders to order hats if you are interested. They will cost $20, just email Coach Kuhlman at tkuhlman@usd223.org to place your order. Orders will be taken until Aug 6th. Thanks for the support of Bulldog Football!

Parents, there will be a 2nd opportunity on August 9th at 6 pm in the gym to go over the student/parent handbook as well as for your student to watch the concussion video. All JH/HS parents are encouraged to attend with changes in new participation policies and schedules. Also, their have been questions about athletic fees. This is a board policy that was implemented a few years ago to help offset entry fees and official costs. Students who participate and opt into the sport will need to pay the $20 fee per sport. Those who only participate for PE credit will not. Again this is a board policy, not a school policy. If you have any questions email Coach Kuhlman at tkuhlman@usd223.org. Thanks.
