The JH VB games against Blue Valley for tomorrow night, Sept. 23, have been cancelled. They are going to try and play the FB game starting at 6:30 pm.
Linn High School will serve as a neutral site HS Football host this Friday night 9/25 to Onaga vs High Plains Community Schools Polk, at 6:30 p.m. Linn Bulldog Backers will be collecting admission and operating the concessions as a Fitness Center Fundraiser for Linn Schools. Masks are strongly recommended. Admission is $5 Adult, $3 Student and $2 Seniors with no league passes accepted. Come out and support the backers and check out the Friday night lights.

FFA members are competing in a virtual land and homesite career development event today in Ag class. Our host has sent samples and land data from the sites for members to gain hands on experiences and submit online forms to be scored and tabulated. Great learning experience for our students.

The Juniors had their ASVAB test scores interpreted today. They also worked through the Career Exploration Program that is tied to the ASVAB. Ask you son or daughter about their results. They can continue to use the website they used today for up to two years. There is information about careers, post-secondary education, financial aid and and of course the military on this website. Please encourage them to use it. Talk to them about their future, what their interest inventory results were and what careers they researched.

The North Central Regional Planning Commission is providing a unique opportunity for seniors to earn an $850 scholarship. Two $850 scholarships will be awarded. The contest is called the 2020-2021 Rural Voices Youth Contest. Seniors can write an essay or make a video. It doesn't depend on grades or the ACT score, so all seniors have a shot at winning. The State has put together the Kansas Post-Secondary Exploration Guide. It contains all kinds of information on all the post-secondary schools in Kansas. There is also a lot of career information including High Demand, High Paying careers in our area. There is some information on Financial Aid and much more.
Just Google "Kansas Post-Secondary Exploration Guide." It has many links to a great deal of information.
Check it out with your student. Encourage them to think about the future and remind them that the more informed he/she is, the better their decisions about their future should be.

Linn JH VB will play at Clifton on 9/17 with the following schedule attached. WC/Linn football will also be at Clifton with game time at 6:30
Due to growing interest, starting this Wednesday (9/16) the weight room will be open to any 7-12 students that are unable to be in a weights class or want to put extra work in. This will run on a Monday/Wednesday/Friday schedule. We will start at 7:00 am in the back parking lot and go until 7:40.

Linn HS Volleyball: We have added a quad match on Oct 3rd to replace the Rock Hills tournament. This quad will be at Logan with teams of Republic County, Thunder Ridge, Logan/Palco and Linn. All matches will be in the main gym: schedule is included on image.
