Congratulations Linn FFA as they take first place at the NC District Homesite CDE and fourth in Land. Sr medalist include Jace Schaefer 4th, Kyle Richardson 6th and Tyler Ohlde 8th. Jace was also third overall in Land. The Greenhands also medaled in Land with Ryan Stuenkel 2nd and Holden Dittmer 9th overall. Great job and good luck at state next week in Belleville.



On Thursday, October 24th at 6:00 Mr. Voelker will be giving a "Chart Your Course" presentation at Linn High School. This presentation will be for Juniors, Sophomores, Freshmen and their parents. Information concerning the decisions that will need to be made throughout the high school years and as students plan for their post-secondary years. Some of the things you will hear about are: Proper Preparation for College, ACT, Scholarships, College Options, Career Decisions, The Xello Program, Individual Plans of Study, Dual Credit Classes, College Classes, NCAA, NAIA. If you have specific questions or other topics you would like to hear about, please email me and I will do my best include the topics and answer the questions. Seniors and Parents of Seniors:
On Thursday, October 24th at 6:00 you will have the opportunity to complete the FAFSA here at school. The FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Every student that is planning to go a post secondary school next year should fill out the FAFSA. A College Financial Aid Representative will be here to help you fill it out and answer questions. This will be during Parent/Teacher Conferences. I will post more information later.
Congratulations to Jasmine, 3rd grade, and Daniel, 12th grade, for receiving the September Student of the Month Award. Both were recognized for their willingness to help other students and be a leader in the school. Thank you to the PTO and Mo's for sponsoring the Student of the Month Awards.
The NC District FFA Land and Home CDE has been postponed till Thursday
Due to injuries, we are forced to forfeit Friday nights football game. This decision was not something that was taken lightly but for health reasons and safety of our players it would not be responsible to field a team this week. Our goal is to some or all players healthy and get ready for next weeks homecoming matchup. We appreciate your understanding and continued support.

LHS Student Council officers attended the Regional Conference today in Topeka! We listened to great speakers and participated in some break out workshop sessions.

Tomorrow night the HS VB team will take on Washington Co and Centralia. JV games start at 4 and Varsity games start at 6 pm. Come join us and cheer on the Lady Bulldogs. They are a fun and exciting group to watch. The menu for the concession stand is below.

Kickoff to the home season tonight on the Linn football field. Wash/Linn put up a great fight but fell short to Hanover 22-30. Great job from our Linn athletes under new lights, crows nest and bleachers. Thanks to all who have made this home kickoff possible.
