Advanced Biology students took a closer look at mitosis this week. Students worked in pairs to scan through their given slide to find and identify each of the 4 phases before recording them on their lab sheet.
Students have been practicing the steps of the scientific method as well as writing up a lab report based on their experiment. In order to write a successful lab report students had to state their hypothesis, identify independent and dependent variables, conduct research on their topic, and construct both a data table and graph in to help analyze their data and determine whether or not their hypothesis was supported.
The Linn cross country team participated in the Washington Cross Country Invitational on September 7th at Cedar Hills. Linn had two medalists on the girls team with Emma Hiltgen finishing 4th running the two miles in 16:47. Kyra Ohlde finished 10th running 18:41.
The Linn junior high boys can compete as a team this year as they have five runners. Hendrix Stunkel was the first finisher for Linn placing 15th with a time of 14:53. His teammates followed with Lane Duitsman 20th (16:17), Emmerich Hornkohl 27th (18:06). Ezra Koch 33rd (23:43), and Justus Uffman 34th (24:07).

Good luck to the JH Cross Country team as they travel to Washington today! Meet starts at 4:00.
Attention all Youth Football Players: Any current student grades 1st-6th are invited to join the High School Football team during pregame festivities. Join us during warmups on our home sideline and watch the Bulldogs get ready for action! If you are unable to make it early for warmups, meet at the Fitness Center no later than 6:45 to join in on the pregame walk to the field. Reminder, all athletes who attended camp get in to the game for free, but we want to extend the pregame festivities to all interested athletes. Look forward to seeing you all on Friday!
