As we close this teacher appreciation week, I want to take a moment to recognize our teachers at Hanover and Linn Schools for all the hard work, dedication, and care they give to their students, families, and communities! Our teachers at USD 223 are simply amazing at what they do! We are very proud of our schools and their accomplishments which is largely due to the work and dedication of our teachers/staff and family support.
Thank you also to the communities for your support of our schools, teachers and staff! It is only in working together that we can accomplish this tremendous task of educating our youth! Our 2023 state assessment scores and ACT scores are again among the highest in the state and I would expect a 2024 results to be the same!
Congratulations to our seniors on their up coming graduations this Sunday. They are well prepared for post secondary life thanks to their hard work as well as that of our teachers, staff, coaches, families and the support of the respective communities!
The first and second graders had a great time visiting their nursing home friends today! It was our last visit of this school year! We wish them all a wonderful summer!

Senior students signed letters of intent for their future plans last week during Senior Signing Day! Congratulations to all of the soon-to-be graduates!
Come a little early to Awards Night this evening at 7pm and view the HS Art Exhibition! Some amazing work is on display by our Art Bulldogs!

As we wrap up the JH Track season, here are the updated records after the completion of this season. We had some kids really excel this year, and hope they continue to work hard and push themselves to get better!

Summer Athletic Development teams as drafted by our captains. Captains were chosen by L Club this year. If I missed someone, please let me know and we will get them on a team. Weights begins May 28th and will end on August 2nd. We will offer this everyone Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday. Sessions will run from 6-8 am (boys), 7-9 am (girls) , and 7-8:30 pm (make up session). Hope to see everyone there getting better!

Seniors participated in the annual Senior Send Off at Linn this week. Students rotated through ten stations covering a variety of "real-life" topics from healthy eating, car maintenance, personal safety, mental health and more. We greatly appreciate all of the community members who volunteered their time to share their expertise.

Due to a shortage of meets and cancellations, we were able to get into a JH Track Meet on Monday at Republic County. This is a completely optional meet, and I do not expect everyone to want to go. I will be talking to kids today and seeing who plans on going. Because this is short notice, we will not practice today (practice Thursday and Friday.) since kids may not have brought stuff for practice. Thanks.
Results from yesterdays JH BVL Track Meet at Washington. Kids battled through adversity while keeping their composure and competing hard. Proud of the year they have had. I will be posting personal bests for each kid later on in the day.
