8th grade investigated the effects of surface area and fluid friction, (air resistance/drag), on the acceleration of a parachute jumper by building model parachutes and dropping them from a height. Students were able to calculate how fast their jumper was falling and compare it to a second, improved design to see which would give their jumper the best chance at survival.
The "Letter Jacket Man" will be coming to Linn Schools on Monday, November 25th during lunch and seminar (11:28-12:16). He will be in the library for anyone that is interested in getting sizing and possibly ordering a letter jacket.

Linn FFA members tried something new today in the Meats CDE at Midwest Meats in Abilene. Team members included Sofia Uffman, Brigham Hansen, Wyatt Weiche, and Dylan Ohlde. They determined yield and quality grades for beef carcasses, evaluated retail classes, and identified numerous beef and pork retail cuts.

11th grade students traveled to Centralia on Wednesday to explore a variety of careers and speak with experts in those fields. Students learned about education requirements, local opportunities, and made connections.
